Pilates Method

A body conditioning method developed over 80 years ago by Joseph H. Pilates, this complete exercise system strengthens the muscles while lengthening them. Movements are low-impact and are done in a sequence with few repetitions, emphasizing form and alignment. Pilates focuses on the "core", the muscles of the back and stomach. The movement are integrated with the breath and emphasis is placed on focus so that the mind becomes more in tone with the body, creating a connection that can be carried out of the studio to improve grace, balance, and focus in daily life.

Our Studio

V Balance is a boutique studio, with only 3 reformers, 3 chairs and 1 cadillac. In a typical session at our studio you will exercise on both mat and specialized equipment. All the machines use springs, which provide resistance that challenges your body and balances it effectively. After our session you will feel stronger, taller, flexible, balanced and aware of your body. Joseph Pilates said that his method of exercise "Develops the body uniformly ,corrects wrong posture, restores physical vitality, invigorates the mind, and elevates the spirit".
